Updates to our Police Applicants include:
- Removal of the swim test requirement
- Removal of the sixty (60) college credit requirement
- Applicants are also eligible to receive two (2) preference points if:
- they have resided in the City of Fort Lauderdale for at least one year or the applicant has worked for the City of Fort Lauderdale for longer than one year.
- Points for city residents who are also city employees can be combined for a maximum of four (4) total points.
