The Special Investigations Division of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department  is responsible for investigating properties that meet the criteria for a public nuisance in accordance with City Ordinance §§2-255 and 2-256 and State Statute 893.138 and presenting them to the Nuisance Abatement Advisory Board at their monthly meetings.

This webpage was created in response to complaints from citizens regarding drug dealing, criminal gang activity, dealing in stolen property and other felony crimes such as murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assaults, burglary, thefts, and robberies.

  !!!!   Not all nuisances are addressed by the Nuisance Abatement team. DO NOT use this webpage for: Noise Complaints, Barking Dogs, Loud Music, Code Enforcement issues, and other Non Criminal activity. While these and other activities are a community problem, the are NOT addressed by the Nuisance team, but can be addressed through other FLPD divisions. NAB Current Properties

1. Address of property
2. Type of complaint, drug activity, prostitution or dealing in stolen property
3. Time of day which the  activity takes place

(a) On more than two occasions within a 6-month period, as the site of a violation of State Statute 796.07;

(b) On more than two occasions within a 6-month period, as the site of the unlawful sale, delivery, manufacture, or cultivation of any controlled substance;

(c) On one occasion as the site of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, where such possession constitutes a felony and that has been previously used on more than one occasion as the site of the unlawful sale, delivery, manufacture, or cultivation of any controlled substance;

(d) By a criminal gang for the purpose of conducting criminal gang activity as defined by State Statute 874.03; or

(e) On more than two occasions within a 6-month period, as the site of a violation of State Statute 812.019 relating to dealing in stolen property.
