The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne/JAG) Program

  

The United States Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne/JAG) Program is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions. This formula grant program provides funding based on crime and other statistics. Byrne/JAG local allocation funds may be used to support a range of program areas including officer safety equipment, technology enhancement, and prevention and education programs. Public Notice - FY2021 Byrne/ JAG Program Funding Cycle

 

 The City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department will be receiving $86,405 in funding under the FY 2021 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department proposes to use our FY 2021 Byrne/JAG allocation to acquire law enforcement equipment and supplies for operational support. The Broward Sheriff’s Office will serve as the lead fiscal agent for all cities in Broward County that have been allocated FY21 Byrne/JAG local grant awards.

 

 
Public Notice - FY2022 Byrne/ JAG Program Funding Cycle

 

The City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department will be receiving $90,852 in funding under the FY 2022 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department proposes to use our FY 2022 Byrne/JAG allocation to enhance investigative response capabilities. The Broward Sheriff’s Office will serve as the lead fiscal agent for all cities in Broward County that have been allocated FY22 Byrne/JAG local grant awards.

 

Public Notice - FY2023 Byrne/ JAG Program Funding Cycle

 

The City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department will be receiving $100,385 in funding under the FY 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department proposes to use our FY 2023 Byrne/JAG allocation to replace equipment managed by the Operations Support Division. The Broward Sheriff’s Office will serve as the lead fiscal agent for all cities in Broward County that have been allocated FY23 Byrne/JAG local grant awards.

 

Public Notice - FY2024 Byrne/ JAG Program Funding Cycle

 

The City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department will be receiving $88,335 in funding under the FY 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department proposes to use our FY 2024 Byrne/JAG allocation to upgrade investigative and operational equipment. The Broward Sheriff’s Office will serve as the lead fiscal agent for all cities in Broward County that have been allocated FY24 Byrne/JAG local grant awards.
